To meet the standards required for manufacturing speciality gas products, Harris has invested in its Gainesville, Georgia facility to provide new gas distribution solutions including in-house engineering design, manufacturing, testing and fulfilment of a full spectrum of standard, and customised products.
“The decision to expand our speciality gas group advanced our growth strategy and enhances our ability to better serve our distributors,” said David Nangle, President of The Harris Product Group.
“We bring together the best equipment, process and personnel, which maximises our value proposition to our customers.”
To help distributors support speciality gas customers, the Harris customer service team will now provide application recommendations for the most appropriate spec gas regulator. Once approved by the distributor, the order is sent into production and shipped within 24 to 48 hours on most models.
As part of the expansion, Harris has also invested in a new assembly line, a streamlined fulfilment process and a new cleanroom for regulator assembly, helium leak detection, functional testing at nominal, and vacuum bag packing.
