Dresden-based IPV, whose market is the chemical industry, had revenues of approximately €5m and around 20 employees in 2017.
“The industrial segment is key for us in order to further grow our pumps business,” said Andrew Walker, Business Area President Power Technique.
“The acquisition will strengthen our presence in the north and west of Europe,” Walker continued.
IPV will become part of Atlas Copco’s Power and Flow division in the Power Technique business area and will legally be part of the Atlas Copco German holding company, Atlas Copco Holding GmbH.
Atlas Copco is a manufacturer of industrial tools and equipment based in Sweden and last year acquired the cryogenic segment of Brooks Automation, Inc., Walker Filtration Ltd, Reno A/S and Leybold GmbH.
